All of our grantmaking flows through one of our funds, each with its own focus, geography, and process.

Start with fit

Before reaching out, please make sure your organization and its work align with one of our funds.

The Letter of Inquiry

For funds that are open to applications, the process begins with a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). The LOI is a brief, structured form that helps us understand your organization and the work you're seeking to fund. It is not a full proposal.

We use LOIs to confirm organizational eligibility, understand the scope and intent of the request, and determine whether to invite a full application.

General eligibility

Your organization must be a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We do not fund for-profit organizations, individuals, or political campaigns. We generally do not fund endowments or sponsor events.
